Star of the Sea College is committed to preserving and celebrating its own past.
The concept of a Star of the Sea College Archival collection was formalised during the Centenary celebrations of 1983.
Since that time the College Archives has been staffed by a group of volunteers who are to be commended for their commitment, dedication and enthusiasm for Star’s history.
In May 2005 Miriam Riverlea was appointed by the College to coordinate the relocation of the Archives to its present home in the ‘Old Priest’s Flat’ next to the Chapel.
Miriam supervises the volunteer team as they continue to preserve, catalogue, and expand the collection.
The Archives currently operate every Thursday during the school year and the team welcomes contact from the College community.
Whether you are organising a class reunion or researching your family history, the team is here to assist you with your endeavours!
In addition, we are keen to see your photos, read your research projects, and hear your memories of Star. Please come and say hello.
